The Role
As a Purchasing Specialist, you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring a wide range of industrial fasteners, including bolts, nuts, screws, washers, rivets, and specialty fastening products. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring material availability, managing key supplier relationships, and directly supporting both production schedules and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Source and procure standard and specialty fasteners from approved suppliers.

Monitor inventory levels and place purchase orders to maintain optimal stock levels.

Negotiate pricing, lead times, and supply agreements with vendors.

Evaluate supplier performance related to quality, delivery, and cost.

Collaborate with engineering, production, quality, and sales teams to support operational needs.

Analyze market trends and identify cost-saving opportunities.

Resolve supplier issues, shortages, and delivery delays.

Maintain accurate purchasing records and ERP system data.

Support inventory management initiatives.

Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and quality standards.
Qualifications

Minimum 2–5 years of purchasing or procurement experience, preferably in fasteners, industrial hardware, or manufacturing.

Knowledge of fastener specifications, materials, coatings, and industry standards is highly desirable.

Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.

Experience using ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
